Vote in the 2020 Primary election on June 2!

In response to potential consolidation of voting centers due to coronavirus, the Story County Auditor has recommended that voters consider voting by mail. You can request an absentee ballot by mailing a completed form to the county auditor's office. Postage is not necessary for the request form.

To vote in the primary, you must be registered as a Republican or Democrat. Sample ballots will be available on the Story County website once they are created. Absentee ballots are required to have an ID number, which is either your Iowa driver’s license (or non-operator ID) number or the 4-digit PIN on the your voter ID card. Once your absentee ballot has been sent, you may track it through the Secretary of State's website.
