Timing

Show up early to check in and ensure entrance. Caucus locations will close the doors at 7pm, so people who arrive after 7pm will not be admitted inside.

Caucus Business

At caucus, registered Republicans will participate in the presidential poll, the election of Central Committee members, the election of county delegates, and the submission of platform planks.

  • Central Committee members meet once a month and help run events, elect Republicans, and lead the Story County GOP.
  • Delegates will represent their precinct at the county convention, and can be elected to serve at the district, state, and national levels.
  • Platform planks are the public statement of the county or state party values and goals. These can be sent with your precinct delegates.
  • The caucus is funded completely by your local county party. Donations will be collected to offset the expense of organizing the caucus.

Platform

In preparation for the caucus, you are most welcome to review our state platform. If there are any statements (called "planks") that you wish to submit, please have those ready to write down at caucus.
