2026 Primary Election Dates – Story County GOP

Main Introduction: The 2026 Primary Election will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2026. Below are the important dates and deadlines for Story County voters.

Key Dates:

• March 24, 2026 – First day to request an absentee ballot
• May 18, 2026 by 5:00 PM – Last day to request a mailed absentee ballot (must be received by the Story County Auditor’s Office by this deadline)
• May 13 through June 1, 2026 – Early in-person voting at the Story County Courthouse
• June 2, 2026 – Election Day
  • Absentee ballots must be received by the Auditor’s Office by 8:00 PM
  • Polls are open from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM
